In 2008 I spent two weeks in Central America visiting some of the major archaeological sites of the Maya as well as seeing the sights and people of Guatemala. Here are some of the pictures I took. I live on the island of Crete and this gives me the opportunity to photograph Crete when it is at its best - in the winter and early spring.

The site is divided into the four prefectures that make up Crete. As the site expands new pages will be added within each prefecture. I plan to keep adding to these photos so come back and check if there is anything new. Click on the thumbnails to see the full size picture. Olympos may originally have been the place where villagers from Vurgunda and Tristomo in the north fled from pirate attacks. The village would originally have not been visible from the sea. If you were automatically redirected.
